What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. Life happens — if something comes up, just reach out as soon as you can.

Is teletherapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Research shows that teletherapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Many clients find it more convenient and just as comfortable once they get used to the format.

Where are you licensed to provide teletherapy?

I provide teletherapy to adults located in New York and Florida. I am licensed as an LCSW-R in New York and an LCSW in Florida. You must be physically present in one of those states at the time of your session.

What do I need for a teletherapy session?

You'll need a device with a camera and microphone (a smartphone, tablet, or computer all work), a reliable internet connection, and a private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely. Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

How much does a session cost?

The session fee is $200. Psychotherapy sessions are typically 45–55 minutes. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.

Do you accept insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I accept the following plans: Aetna, Cigna, Northwell Direct, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, and UnitedHealthcare. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement. Insurance coverage and benefits vary by plan. Please verify your individual behavioral health benefits and eligibility with your insurance provider.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. As a licensed clinical social worker, I provide psychotherapy only. If medication is something you'd like to explore, I can help connect you with a psychiatrist or your primary care provider.
